FrontPage Help Requested
I had been looking forward to my local ISP (www.netwalk.com) that hosts my web site being in a position to support FrontPage 98 extensions on its Unix servers. They had not previously supported FrontPage 97. My forms and text search WebBot are on hold because, so far, Netwalk has been unable to give me FrontPage access to the server hosting my site. I am still having to use ftp. Ted Pavlic of Netwalk, the person assigned by the company to install and configure the FrontPage extensions on their servers, informs me that the extensions "choke" on my web site. That my site is too large and complicated (too many internal hyperlinks) for Microsoft's FrontPage server extensions. They are none too complimentary about Microsoft's FrontPage extensions, though I have not read any negative comments concerning the extensions and the installation of the extensions in PC magazine reviews. If there are any Microsoft people out there who happen to come across this message or any webmasters who have successfully configured FrontPage 97 or 98 extensions on their Unix servers, I would appreciate if they email Ted Pavlic (and copy to me) advice on this matter. Without a solution to this problem I will be forced to master and use cgi scripts to implement the features I desire. Thanks in advance for any help you can give. Stuart Kingsley
