The COSETI Observatory
The consolidated web site: www.coseti.org has been on-line since late July, 1997.
Emails received as a result of this site indicate considerable interest by both professional SETI scientists and amateur optical astronomers who wish to conduct OSETI research of their own.
The author is gratified that after nearly eight years of revisiting and promoting the optical approach, the effort is at last beginning to have an effect on his colleagues in the Microwave SETI (MSETI) community.
The COSETI Observatory will be undertaking regular, quantitative Optical SETI (OSETI) observations with new state-of-the-art equipment starting in the summer of 1999. OSETI data will be posted to the web site as it becomes available.
